München/Mailand, 29. Juli 2013. Am kommenden Wochenende macht das BMW Motorrad GoldBet SBK Team mit den BMW Werksfahrern Marco Melandri (ITA) und Chaz Davies (GBR) im britischen Silverstone Station. Auf der berühmten Strecke wird am kommenden Wochenende (2. bis 4. August) die neunte Runde der FIM Superbike-Weltmeisterschaft 2013 ausgetragen. Für Chaz ist dies nach den Rennen Ende Mai in Donington das zweite Heimspiel der Saison.

Den ersten Lauf zur Europa-Meisterschaft in Imola bei den 200 Miglia,
haben wir als 10. platzierte bereits hinter uns .

MCHK-Racing Anderstop Schweden.

Innerhalb einer Classic Veranstaltung des MCHK-Racing Schweden vom 12. – 17. Juli 2013 fand auch der 7. Und. 8. Lauf des Klassik Motorrad Sidecar Cup 2013 (kurz: KLAMO Sidecar Cup) in Anderstorp/Schweden statt.

Da wir die Strecke ja noch gar nicht kannten, nur vom Hören sagen, tat ich mich mit den 860 km sehr schwer. Aber auch diese Kilometer haben wir hinter uns gelassen und sind nach ca. 12 Stunden Fahrt auf der Rennstrecke Anderstorp Scandinavian Raceway angekommen.

Was mir aufgefallen ist: KM Training Oschersleben

- Ilona feiert ihr 10 jähriges Jubiläum. Instrukteur geführtes Fahren bei KM.

- Eine tolle Kombination aus Gruppenaufkleber und Startnummer hat die 75 D.

- Bei Regen fahren überdurchschnittliche viele Teilnehmer auf der Strecke.

Mein schönstes Ferienerlebnis

Meinen zweiten Gaststart in der Duke-Battle bestritt ich in Oschersleben, wo auch der T-Cup und der S1000RR-Cup starteten. Nachdem es am Hockenheimring nicht ganz so gut lief, hatte ich mir als Ziel gesetzt in die Top 3 zu fahren. Da ich schon Ferien hatte, konnten wir bereits am Freitag trainieren und ich konnte im freien Training schon mein erstes Highlight mit einer 1:40,2 setzen. Am Samstag lief das erste Qualifying nicht ganz so toll, da ich teilweise etwas unkonzentriert war. Zum zweiten Zeittraining bekam ich einen neuen Hinterreifen und dank Norbert, der sich wieder spendabel zeigte, auch einen neuen Vorderreifen. Im zweiten Zeittraining fuhr ich ohne zu trödeln sofort auf Angriff und das zahlte sich auch aus : Pole mit 1,39 !

Die von BMW Motorrad HP RaceSupport unterstützte Mannschaft musste bei den „Acht Stunden von Suzuka“ nach zwei Stürzen vorzeitig aufgeben.


Suzuka/München, 28. Juli 2013. Die harte Arbeit von BMW Motorrad HP RaceSupport und des BMW Motorrad France Teams Thevent blieb bei den „Acht Stunden von Suzuka“ (JPN) unbelohnt. Die Spezialisten aus München und die französisch-belgische Mannschaft waren voller Optimismus zur zweiten Runde der FIM Langstrecken-WM 2013 gereist, aber sie erlebten in Japan ein schwieriges Wochenende. Beim vorangegangenen Test und in der Qualifikation hatte das Team eine beeindruckende Performance gezeigt, doch in dem renommierten Rennen selbst blieb ihm die Zielankunft verwehrt.

After setting the fastest time in earlier sessions, the Yoshimura Factory Racing Suzuki team recorded the second best Qualifying time at the 36th Coca-Cola Zero Suzuka 8-Hour World Endurance Championship second round today; just over 500ths-of-a-second from provisional pole. 

Yoshimura Factory riders Nobuatsu Aoki, Takuya Tsuda and Josh Brookes had earlier topped the timesheets aboard their GSX-R1000 after All Japan Superbike rider Tsuda set a blistering lap of 2'07.688 minutes; a time only bettered by Monster Energy YART's Katsuyuki Nakasuga later in the day.

The Isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development, the rights holder of the TT Races, is progressing its plans to develop a TT Races World Series.
The TT Races have been running on the Isle of Man since 1907 and is one of the world's oldest continuous motorsport events. It currently attracts around 40,000 visitors to the Isle of Man annually contributing £25 million to the local economy and generates over £2 million in gross commercial revenue.

Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing's Martin Cardenas visited the AMA Pro Superbike podium for the eighth time this season at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California on Sunday. 

Cardenas gave 100% and raced his Yoshimura Suzuki GSX-R1000 to a well-earned third-place result at the renowned Northern California racetrack as Yoshimura Suzuki team-mate Chris Clark bounced back from some recent bad luck and carded a respectable 11th-place result.

Casey Stoner will climb back on a Honda RC213V, for the first time since Valencia 2012, as a test rider for Honda Racing Corporation. The two-time World Champion left the sport at the end of last year and has been linked with rumours of a wild card appearance this season but this is now out of the question. The Australian rider will do four tests in Motegi in the next few months with Honda Racing's R&D team, working on the evolution of the RC213V and also on the new production racer bike that Honda Racing will sell to selected team next year to race in MotoGP.

Antwort 1:Also Ich fahre für das Team GTR Racing/Fastbike auf einer Kawasaki ZX10 R Bj.2012 vom Schneider Motorradzentrum in Lage die komplette IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) Saison. Desweiteren bin ich bei Daske Racing als Instruktor wenn ich keine anderen Termine habe anzutreffen. Und für meine Kondition bin ich regelmäßig mit meiner 300er Husaberg von Bergos Racing unterwegs und auch bei dem ein oder anderen Mehrstunden Enduro und Shorttrack Rennen am Start.

Da ging ja wieder mal einiges auf dem Mazda Raceway in Laguna Seca! Sogar Geschichte wurde neu geschrieben.
Als Rookie gewinnt Marc Marquez auf einer ihm unbekannten Strecke das Rennen. Nachdem Pole-Setter Stefan rundenlang in Führung lag, musste er sich dem schnellsten der Fahrer hingeben. In 32 Runden wechselten die ersten Positionen. Selbst ein Rossi, der bis zum ersten Renndrittel auf Position zwei lag, musste sich in der Corkscrew Marquez fügen.

Alex De Angelis close to Top Ten finish

It was a hot day at Laguna Seca. After a minute's silence in honor of Andrea Antonelli, who tragically lost his life at Moscow Raceway while competing in the World Supersport race, the American national anthem was played.

A few laps into the race, a determined Alex De Angelis caught up with his fellow Ducati rider Nicky Hayden, but the gap between them was unfortunately too wide to allow him to remain in his slipstream.

Milwaukee Yamaha returned to the podium at the sixth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch today as James Ellison scored a second place in race two after bouncing back from a race one crash.
Ellison had narrowly missed out on a front row start and dropped down the order at the start of the race and was carving his way through the order when he crashed out unhurt at Graham Hill Bend. His fastest lap in the opening race put him on pole for race two and after a better start he was tucked in behind championship leader Shane Byrne.

Halbzeit im MotoGP Kalender. Rennen 9 von 18 steht vor der Tür und dies in Übersee! Hierhin reist nur die Königsklasse und lässt nach dem Rennen am vergangenen Wochenende in Sachsen keine Verschnaufpause für die Götter. Auf der 3,6km langen Strecke gewann schon Ducati, Honda und Yamaha, was also keinen Geheimfavoriten vermuten lässt. Auf der 12m breiten Piste verteilen sich 7 Links- und 4 Rechtskurven. Die längste Gerade ist nur 453m lang und lässt den Fahrern somit keine Ruhe.

Es ist ein trauriger Sonntag für die FIM Superbike-Weltmeisterschaft.

Encouraging first day for FIXI Crescent Suzuki in Russia

FIXI Crescent Suzuki riders Leon Camier and Jules Cluzel both had strong first day performances at this weekend’s eighth round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship at the Moscow Raceway in Russia.
Camier produced some competitive laps in this afternoon’s first qualifying session to place him just over one-tenth-of-a-second away from a provisional front-row start. The Englishman looked impressive over the first three sectors of the 3,931m Russian circuit, but is aware that he needs to make up some time in the final two sectors. If he can achieve that it will leave him in a very promising position for Sunday’s two races.

The second MotoGP™ race weekend in the United States kicked off today with the pre-race press conference at the Red Bull US Grand Prix in Laguna Seca, where Repsol Honda Team’s current championship leader Marc Marquez was joined by Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Cal Crutchlow, Yamaha Factory Racing’s Valentino Rossi, NGM Mobile Forward Racing’s Colin Edwards, NGM’s Alex de Angelis, substituting for the injured Ben Spies in the Ignite Pramac Racing Team, as well as Ducati Team’s Nicky Hayden, who announced he will not be with the team from 2014.

The MotoGP World Championship has traveled to Monterey for the ninth round on the calendar.

The Laguna Seca track measures 3.610 km (2.243 miles) and partly laid out on a hillside, rising abruptly from the bottom of the valley toward the crest. This section includes turns 5, 6, 7, 8 and 8A, the spectacular “Corkscrew” downhill chicane, before falling back sharply to the finish line and the short straightaway, which features two slight changes of direction, and where the maximum speed attained is around 270km/h.

 Der BMW Motorrad Werksfahrer bestritt mit dem neuen Superportler die „Hillclimb“-Rennen beim „Goodwood Festival of Speed“ 2013. 
München/Chichester, 14. Juli 2013. In jedem Sommer gibt es für Motorsport-Enthusiasten einen Pflichttermin in Großbritannien: das „Goodwood Festival of Speed“. Die legendäre Veranstaltung, die alljährlich über 100.000 Fans nach Goodwood House bei Chichester (GBR) lockt, feierte an diesem Wochenende ihren 20. Geburtstag. Es ist die Mischung aus Stars von heute und Helden von früher, aus historischen und modernen Rennfahrzeugen, die die Faszination des „Festivals of Speed“ ausmacht. BMW nimmt seit vielen Jahren an der Veranstaltung teil und bringt sowohl historische als auch aktuelle Rennwagen und Motorräder mit nach Goodwood. In diesem Jahr wurden die Farben des bayerischen Herstellers durch Werksfahrer Chaz Davies (GBR) aus dem BMW Motorrad GoldBet SBK Team vertreten. 

KTM Duke Battle in Hockenheim

Nachdem ich am Lausitzring gestürzt war, stand als nächstes die Duke Battle auf dem Plan. Da der Hockenheimring für mich Neuland war, fuhren wir schon am Donnerstag los um Freitags zu trainieren. Der Tag verlief für mich bis auf einen Zwischenfall mit der Schaltung recht gut. Ich konnte mich an die Strecke gewöhnen und eine brauchbare Linie finden.

Am diesem sonnigen Sonntag war alles möglich! 

Lorenzo liegt frisch operiert in Barcelona in Krankenhaus und nimmt nicht am Rennen teil.

Dani Pedrosa hat einen Haarriss im Schlüsselbein und eine Gehirnerschütterung. Nach der ärztlichen Abnahme dürfte er fahren, fühlt sich aber nicht fit und setzt aus.

Rossi Returns to the Front Row
Yamaha Factory Racing’s Valentino Rossi made a welcome return to the front row of the grid in third position today in qualifying for Sunday’s Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland. The quick fire 15minute session proved to be the best qualifying performance by the Italian nine-time Champion since Le Mans over two years ago, his last appearance on the front row.

Das achte Rennen der Saison ist etwas ganz besonderes, denn es findet in Deutschland statt. Es ist das einzige Rennen welches in good old Germany ausgetragen wird und daher mit bis zu 230.000 Gästen gut besucht . Beliebt für Kenner ist natürlich der Ankerberg, auf dem schon Tage vor und nach dem Rennen eine riesen Party gefeiert wird. Einige kommen nur zur Party und bekommen von dem Renngeschehen garnichts mit.

Positive first day in Sachsenring for Pedrosa and Marquez

Repsol Honda riders Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez have enjoyed a productive first day at the GP of Germany. Track conditions weren't very good in this morning's cold FP1 session - only 15ºC with a track temperature of 21ºC, both Dani and Marc opted to use the soft compound front and rear Bridgestone tyres. On his last exit, Marc used a hard front tyre and improved his time slightly.
 

Der Schottenring Classic Grand Prix feiert 25-jähriges Ausgabe

Traditionell am dritten August-Wochenende (17. und 18. August 2013) geht der Jubiläums-Schottenring Classic Grand Prix über die Bühne und feiert damit sein silbernes Jubiläum. Als 1989 der erste Classic Grand Prix vor den Toren des Städtchens am südlichen Rand desVogelsbergs veranstaltet wurde, glaubte wohl selbst der damalige sehr rührige und enthusiastische Vorstand des MSC Rund um Schotten um seinen Vorsitzenden Helmut Neumann kaum, dass 25 Jahre später aus dem mit recht überschaubarem Starterfeld begonnenen Event einmal die größte Veranstaltung im Vogelsbergkreis, ja, die europaweit bekannteste Veranstaltung für klassische Renn- und Sport-Motorräder werden würde.

GUY MARTIN AND SUZUKI STORM SOUTHERN 100

Guy Martin and Tyco Suzuki today lifted the coveted Manx Gas Solo Championship title in spectacular fashion at the Southern 100 Road Races on the Isle of Man. 

During the feature race, GSX-R1000-mounted Martin shadowed his main rivals Dean Harrison and Michael Dunlop for five of the eight laps around the 4.25-mile circuit, before edging ahead to take his second career Solo Championship victory and a new absolute lap record in the process.

Red Bull KTM Ajo:

The World Championship arrives in Germany this week, for the final round before the summer break. The Red Bull KTM Ajo team go to Sachsenring having extended a podium streak in the Moto3 class to 20 races, with the help of in-form series leader Luis Salom.
The track has many narrow corners and is one of the slowest on the calendar, characterised by seven consecutive left hand corners which create difficulties in maintaining tyre temperature. It also features one of the shortest straights in Grand Prix racing and ever-variable weather.

No Sleep till Hockenheim!

Am letzten Montag und Dienstag wollten wir auf dem Lausitzring Änderungen am Fahrwerk machen und diese dann testen. Leider hat unser Fahrwerksmann uns versetzt. Veranstalter war die Zweirad Akademie und mit nur 60 Teilnehmern war es auf der Strecke recht übersichtlich.

Frage 1: Wie sehen deine Pläne für 2013 aus? Mit welchen Motorrad willst du wo und in welcher Serie bzw. bei welchem Veranstalter fahren? 

Antwort 1: Pläne gibt’s viele, aber realistisch werde ich 2013 nur an 2 Trainings teilnehmen können. Anfang Mai habe ich gerade 2 Tage in Oschersleben mit meiner Z1000R verbracht (Dannhoff) und es folgen 3 Tage Most mit meiner MV Agusta F4 312 und der Zweiradakademie. Da gibt es freies Fahren und das ist der Urlaub meiner Wahl.
